Robert Wright (1920 – 2005)

Robert W. Wright, age 84 a resident of Racine, died Tuesday May 18, 2005 at St. Mary’s Medical Center.

Born on September 26, 1920 in Racine he was the son of the late John and Helen (Reth) Wright.

A lifelong Racine resident, he was educated in the schools of Racine.

He served in the US Army during WWII as a medical corps staff sergeant.

On July 12, 1946 he married Jeanette F. Frahm at Atonement Lutheran Church in Racine.

For 30 years, he worked at Andrew-Mautner Advertising Agency in Milwaukee. He retired in 1986.

He liked woodcarving, gardening, traveling with his wife and antiquing. He was also an avid reader.

He is survived by his loving wife of Racine; two daughters Kristine (Herbert) Jekel of Waterford; Kathleen (Jeffory) Ellison of Racine; two grandchildren Jon (Jessica) and Raeanna Ellison and two great grandchildren Kaitlynn and Tylor. Special nephew Chuck (Alice) Frahm, other loving nieces, nephews, and many special friends further survive him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Roland and Clifford and a sister Dorothy.

Funeral services for Mr. Wright will be held on Friday May 20, 2005 at 11:00AM at Atonement Lutheran Church in Racine. (2915-Wright Avenue) Visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 10:00AM until the time of services. Burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery at 2:00PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Atonement Lutheran Church Renovation Fund, the Racine Public Library or the heart Association would be appreciated.

The family would also like to express their heart felt thanks to Dr. Carol Meils and the cardiac staff as well as Dr. Thomas Goodrich for their caring compassionate service.
