Neil Deschneau (1927 – 2006)

Neil Dechneau, age 78 a resident of Kenosha died Tuesday April 4, 2006 at his residence.

Born on May 12, 1927 in Kenosha, he was the son of the late Robert A. and Laura (Hanson) Deschneau.

A life long Kenosha resident he was educated in the schools of Kenosha and is a graduate of Kenosha High School.

On October 30, 1981 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kenosha, he married Judy Karrmann.

He was employed by the City of Kenosha as a firefighter for 36 years. He retired as a House Captain on May 31, 1990.

He is a member of the Retired Firefighters Association and a member of Unity Lodge No. 367 F&A.M. He loved animals. Since his retirement, together with his wife loved to travel the U.S. visiting friends and family.

He is survived by his wife Judy of Kenosha; one stepson, Glen (Cindy) Marescalco of Kenosha; two stepdaughters, Laura (Steve) Tredup of Kenosha, Amy (Doug) Massey of North Carolina, four grandchildren, Megan, Brian, Aaron, Julie, two sisters, Jean (Clem) Zipperer of Milwaukee, Cheryl (Craig) Enders of Casa Grande AZ, two nieces Lindsay (John) Schuster of Germantown, Courtney Enders of Milwaukee, one nephew John Zipperer of Milwaukee, and a great niece Jorga Rae Schuster. He is further survived by his two special friends, his dogs B.J. and Bud.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Robert A. Deschneau.

Committal services with full military honors will be held on Friday April 7, 2006 at 12:30PM at the Southern WI Veterans Cemetery in Union Grove. A memorial service will be held Friday evening (April 7, 2006), at 7:00PM at First Presbyterian Church in Kenosha at 1803-83rd Street. (Corner of 83rd Street and 17th Avenue) Visitation with the family will be on Friday evening at the church from 5:00PM until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers memorials to Hospice Alliance would be appreciated.
