Lynnette (Nevelier) Ludwig

(May 6th, 1969-February 16th, 2020)

Lynnette Louise Ludwig, 50, of Kenosha went home to be with the Lord Sunday February 16th, 2020 in her home surrounded by her husband, children and family. Lynnette fiercely fought her battle with cancer for approximately 5 years.

Lynnette was born May 6th, 1969 in Kenosha, Wisconsin at St. Catherine’s Hospital of Marvin and Sharon (Freitag) Nevelier. The family relocated to Sarasota, Florida for a short period from ages 2-7, but primarily was raised in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She attended Kenosha schools and graduated from Shoreland Lutheran High School in 1987. October 18th, 1992 she gave birth to daughter, Sara (Sherwood) Peterson. January 17th, 1995 she gave birth to son, Erick Sherwood. She married Douglas Ludwig on June 15th, 2002 in Kenosha.

She was a connoisseur of the beautiful things in life, especially children, the outdoors and animals. She also was an extremely caring, hilarious woman and her presence lightened up a room. She always put others before herself, especially regarding her loved ones. Lastly, she was a beautiful wife, mother, daughter, and friend.

She is preceded in death by brother, David Nevelier, Phyllis (Morton) Freitag, grandmother, Milton Freitag, grandfather, Florence Pauline (Pullen) Nevelier, grandmother, and David Nevelier, grandfather.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas Ludwig, children Sara (Andrew) Peterson, Erick Sherwood and Katie Ludwig, brothers Richard (Doreen) Nevelier and Butch (Heather) Nevelier, parents Marvin and Sharon Nevelier, and aunts, uncles, and many nieces and nephews.

The family of Lynnette would like to thank the caring staff of Hospice Alliance for assisting with her wishes to stay in the comfort of her home.

Lynnette’s Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, February 22nd at 11:00AM at Crossway Community Church.
