Cindy Lou Grube

Cindy Lou Grube, age 60, of Kenosha passed away on October 31, 2018 at Aurora Zilber Family Hospice with her family by her side after a long battle with cancer. Cindy Lou was born on November 30, 1957 in Sturgeon Bay to Jack Kunath and Jeanette Hoeckendorff Larson. She attended Kenosha area schools. She was most recently the Director of Hospitality Management at the Kemper Center in Kenosha for the past 3 ½ years. Previous to that she held similar positions at the Ramada in Milwaukee as well as Bristol Oaks Country Club in Bristol. She began her career at Sheridan Lanes. Cindy Lou’s activities included bowling for many years as well as an avid Green Bay Packer fan and she will be most remembered for her kind heart and helping people. Cindy Lou will be dearly missed as she was loved by all. She loved her profession, and her brides meant the world to her.

She was preceded in death by, three uncles, Edwin and Terry Hoeckendorff and William Kunath. as well as other paternal and maternal grandparents

Cindy Lou is survived by, her mother, Jeanette (Dave) Hoeckendorff Larson; her father, Jack Kunath; the love of her life for over 24 years, Dave Maegaard; her son, Bill (Lisa) Ipsen; three grandchildren, Chloe, Francesca, and Kylie; a brother, John Kunath; four sisters, Karen (Jerry) Petts, Susie (Randy) Robarge,
Lorrie (Paul) Arendt, and Betty (Chuck) Meehan; two step-sisters, Linda (Paul) Kosecki and Michelle (Randy) Dreifke; her step-brother, Dave (Kim) Larson III as well as nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other family and friends.

An open to the public memorial to celebrate Cindy Lou’s life will be held at the Kemper Center (6501 – 3rd Avenue) on Thursday, November 8th from 4pm – 6pm. This will be followed by a private service for immediate family only from 6pm – 6:45pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society and/or Aurora Zilber Family Hospice would be appreciated.

The family would also like to thank the incredible staff at the Aurora Zilber Family Hospice facility for their loving and compassionate care given to mom in her remaining weeks.
