Tom Johnson

Tom Johnson age 50 a resident of Union Grove, died Sunday August 9th 2015, as a result of a tragic ATV accident at his residence.

Tom was born January 13th, 1965 in Kenosha to Dennis E. and Mary (Smith) Johnson. He graduated from Bradford High School and went on to study Environmental Science in Madison and to serve as an apprentice plumber. In 1985, he married Renee Nelson. They would later divorce but they remained friends.

Tom was employed for 15 years at Grande Prairie Health and Rehab as the manager of environmental services. He owned and operated UVZU Technologies, working with the Kenosha Community Health Centers.

As a young man, Tom was voted to have the “best legs’, the fact of which he was very proud. He was a fine athlete and placed second in state in wrestling.  Tom enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to hunt and fish and to spend time up north with his family. He was a great cook and loved to socialize, in fact he was well known for his “socialization” talents. He was a big fan of the Green Bay Packers.

Tom is survived by his parents Dennis and Mary of Kenosha, his sons Dennis (Felicia Rasico) Johnson of Racine, and Clinton (Allyssa Clanton) Johnson of Waterford, and by his three step children, Kellen, Kristen and Katie Rueter, all of Waterford. He is further survived by his brothers Todd (Zoey) Johnson of Kenosha, Eric Johnson of Kenosha, and his sisters Jayme (Andy) Cristiano of Pleasant Prairie, and Beth (Pat) Morgan of Kenosha as well as by his nephews and nieces, Andy Cristiano, Todd Johnson, Van Morgan, Ashley Morgan, Paris Johnson and Chloe Johnson and great nephew Jerimiah. He is also survived by his dear friend Michael “Mike” Budz, whom Tom considered part of the family.

 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday August 13th 2015 at 7:00PM at St. Mark Catholic Church in Kenosha. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday at the church from 4:00PM until the time of services. Burial will take place at a later date.

    Mary and Dennis we were so sorry to hear about Tom, I was out of town and just found out, I always liked Tom he always stopped and said Hi when he saw me outside, great kid, wonderful son, and turned into a good man…………..God Bless you and the family

  • I cannot believe this loss. He was such a great man. I am sorry to all his family for your loss he will be greatly missed.
