Thelma Schubert (1939-2013)

Thelma Audrey Schubert (nee Dawson), 74, of Kenosha, WI, passed away on August 1, 2013.

Thelma was born in Racine, WI on January 11, 1939.  She grew up in Union Grove, WI and resided in Kenosha the majority of her life.   Thelma was a Registered Nurse, who dedicated her life to helping others in need.

Thelma is survived by her husband of 16 years, Everett Schubert; her children: Lora (Dan) Miller (Hollister) of Kenosha, WI; Rebecca Hollister of Milwaukee, WI;  Alicia Hollister of Kenosha, WI.; Karolynn (Brian) Cionek (Krause) of Lexington, SC; Carolyn (Mark) Cass of Burlington, WI; Roberta Novak of Kenosha, WI, Allen Schubert of Milwaukee, WI; and Barbara (Lyle) Smith of Vacaville, CA.

She is further survived by her sister Lora (Lauren) Longbons of Colorado Springs, CO; her brother Wesley (Pat) Dawson of Mesa, AZ; her grandchildren: Amanda Salley, Kali Salley, Jackson Cionek, Cole Cionek, Zachary (fiance Kayla Hernandez) Niesen , Josh Niesen, Adam Niesen, Jacob Schubert, Kerewyn Cass, Jacob Cass, Karan Anne Smith, Amanda (Brian) Champion, Kayla Kohle, Allie Kohle, and by  her great-granddaughter Dakota Niesen.

Thelma was preceded in death by her mother, Audrey Dawson; her father, Dwight Dawson; and her brother, Keith Dawson.

The family wishes to thank the wonderful 4 Palmer staff of United Hospital System of Kenosha, Dr. Bandealy and staff, the Wound Clinic staff atAuroraHospital, and the amazing Dr. Ellen Spiering.  Your care and dedication to the treatment of Thelma is truly appreciated.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday August 6th 2013 at 1:30PM at the Westlawn Cemetery Chapel in Racine. (9000 Washington Avenue) Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday in the cemetery chapel from 12:30PM until the time of services. Burial will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated with charities to be designated at a later time.
