Ronald F. Altreuther

Ronald F. Altreuther, age 80, of Kenosha passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Ron was born on May 7, 1939 in Buffalo, NY to Carl and Lorraine (Held) Altreuther. He attended schools in Buffalo and graduated from West Seneca High School in 1958. In 1958 he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served until his honorable discharge in 1962. Ron moved to Kenosha where he met Judith Drissel and the couple were married on December 20, 1970 at Grace Lutheran Church. He worked as a carpenter for many years with Camosy Construction, Bane Nelson and B&K Builders. Ron was a member of the Kenosha Moose Lodge #286. He enjoyed swimming and building with his hands, this included trains, models, and helping people whenever he could with additions and remodels. His greatest joy was the time he spent with family and friends.

        He was preceded in death by his parents.

        Ron is survived by, his loving wife of 50 years, Judith Altreuther; four children, Michael (Jackie) Altreuther, Renee (Dave) Gulick, William (Tami) Altreuther and Jill (Jim) Lux; nine grandchildren, Bryon (Erika), Troy (Jessica), Steven, Ashley (Steven), Matthew, Joey, Chris, Ryan and Stephanie; five great grandchildren as well as many friends.

         In accordance with Ron’s wishes private burial services will be held at a later date with full military honors.
