Randy Moon (1959 – 2010)
Randy H. Moon was called to eternal glory on Saturday, June 26 at the age of 51.
He was born on February 10, 1959 to William and Emarene (nee Ramage) Moon in Waukegan, Illinois. He was a lifelong resident of Zion. He graduated from Zion Benton High School in 1977.
He was married to Becky DeVries of Kenosha on November 19, 1988. They were blessed with a son, Joshua, on April 15, 1991. During his married life Randy was a maintenance mechanic at various places of employment.
Randy was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior?s Lutheran Church in Zion on June 19, 2006. He served on the Board of Trustees at Our Savior?s and was faithful in attendance and helpfulness. He enjoyed the loving fellowship of the congregation.
He was a loyal fan of Chicago sports teams (North side!). He loved fishing and the outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with his family at home.
He is survived by his wife Becky and son, Joshua; nephews, Robert Moon of St. Louis and David Moon of Kenosha; nieces Lori (Moon) Toth of Joliet, Shannon (Moon) Ahern of Zion, and Jennifer Moon of Kenosha.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jerry Moon.
Funeral Services will held at Our Savior?s Lutheran Church (1800 23rd Street, Zion, IL) on Thursday July 1, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Visitation with the family will be held at the church on Wednesday June 30, 2010 from 5:00 ? 8:00 PM and again on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of services. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
