Paul Davis (1932 – 2005)

Paul A. Davis, age 74 a resident of Kenosha, died Wednesday November 23, 2005 at his residence.

Born on March 31, 1932 in Chicago IL he was the son of the late Paul A. and Jane (Walker) Davis.

He came to Kenosha as a toddler and was educated in the schools of Kenosha.

He served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Prior to his military record he was in the WI National Guard, and also involved with ROTC.

On September 6, 1958 he married Lillian H. Meyer in Kenosha. She died July 13, 2005.

For 30 years Paul was employed by the Fansteel Corporation in North Chicago as a microscopic photographer. He then worked almost 10 years for Anderson Labs in Greendale WI.

Paul loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and camper. He and his wife would often vacation in northern WI at Lac Du Lune. He enjoyed target shooting with friends and golfing. He was a past member and officer of the Kenosha Conservation Club. He considered himself an accomplished photographer who had specialized in weddings and portraits. He loved to dance, and particularly enjoyed Big Band Swing Music.

He is survived by one sister; Mary Jane (Colin) Carter of Racine; niece Elizabeth (Charles)Trimbach of Providence RI; sisters-in-law Nona (Gil) Raiman of Kenosha, Joyce Roach of Kenosha, Dorothy Wahl of KS as well as numerous other nieces and nephews and their families all of whom he loved very much.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and an infant daughter Helen Elizabeth.

Funeral services for Paul will be held on Sunday November 27, 2005 at 5:00PM at First Presbyterian Church in Kenosha. (1803-83rd Street; corner of 18th Avenue and 83rd Street) Visitation will be held on Sunday at the church in the Fireplace Room from 3:00PM until the time of service. Interment will be private.
