Lois M. Jacob (1935-2018)

Lois M. Jacob, age 83, of Rothschild formerly of Franksville passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Rennes Health and Rehab Center in Weston, WI, with her family by her side. Lois was born on March 8, 1935 in Racine to Elmer and Effie (Osinga) Zimmerman. She was educated in Racine area schools and graduated from Racine Lutheran High in 1953. She married Alvin Jacob on November 28, 1953 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Caledonia and they later divorced. Lois enjoyed working with people and worked for, DeByles Clothing Store, Meinholtz Resort and Franksville Oil until her retirement in 2005. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Lois enjoyed spending time in the garden especially planting flowers and feeding her birds. She lived a simple life filled with joy from her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she adored immensely.

She was preceded in death by, her parents; two brothers-in-law, Donald and Howard Jacob and a sister-in-law, Elaine Jacob.

Lois is survived by, four children, Mark (Janet) Jacob of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Lynn (Lee) Petersen of Eagle River, LuAnn (Dale) Kauzlaric of Rothschild and Michael (Jacki) Jacob of New Braunfels, TX; 10 grandchildren, Christy, Amy, Michelle, Amanda, Anne, Ashley, Andrew, Shane, Blake and Dylan; 16 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; her brother, Jack (Donna) Zimmerman; her sister, Betty (Florian) Baumann; a sister-in-law, Neva Jacob as well as nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services for Lois will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church (7900 – Nicholson Road, Caledonia). A visitation with the family will be held at the church on Friday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service. Interment for Lois will be held at Westlawn Memorial Park at 2:00 P.M. Memorials in Lois’s name may be made to either Trinity Lutheran Church in Caledonia or Christ Lutheran in Eagle River.
