Lillian Davis (1925 – 2005)

Lillian H. Davis, age 80, a resident of Kenosha, died Wednesday July 13, 2005 at Hospice House surrounded by family after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Born on June 16, 1925 in Somers WI, she was the daughter of the late Joseph C. and Daisy B. (Woller) Meyer.

She was educated in the schools of Kenosha County.

On September 6, 1958 she married Paul A. Davis at Zion Evangelical Church in Bristol.

She was member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Kenosha, and was active in the Ladies Church Group. She was a past member of Zion Evangelical Church in Bristol.

During WWII she was employed at Nash Motors and then at Simmons Company. She also was employed at Montgomery Wards as a Department manager in Kenosha. She retired from Bardens in 1993.

She enjoyed reading, gardening, walking and bowling. She loved the outdoors, which included camping and fishing. She also loved traveling with her husband.

Her husband Paul A. of Kenosha; sisters Dorothy Wahl of Kansas, Nona (Gil) Raiman of Kenosha, Joyce Roach of Pleasant Prairie, sister-in-law Sharon Meyer of Burlington and many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much survive her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter Helen Elizabeth, two brothers Howard and Wayne Meyers, and brothers-in-law Richard Roach and John Wahl.

Funeral service for Lillian will be held on Saturday July 16, 2005 at 4:00PM at Bethany Lutheran Church in Kenosha. (2100-75th Street) Interment will be private at a later date. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 3:00PM until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to Bethany Lutheran Church.
