John D. Thomas

John D. “Jack” Thomas, age 91, of Kenosha passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Froedtert South – Kenosha Campus. Jack was born on November 13, 1926 in Kenosha to Daniel and Frances (Fliess) Thomas. He was educated at St. George, McKinley and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School. On October 27, 1951 he was united in marriage to Charlene M. Schulte at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. They shared over 59 joyful years together. They spent many winters at their place in Florida and many summer days at their place in Phillips, WI, wile maintaining their home in Kenosha, that they built in 1955. Sadly, Charlene passed away in April of 2016.

Jack was employed for over 41 years in the office at American Motors/Chrysler with the finance department until his retirement in 1986.

Jack is survived by his five children, Kathy Nesseth of Elm Grove, Jim and James Belanger of Chicago, Don (Mary Beth) of Oshkosh, Paul (Donna) of Merrill and Mark (Debbie) of Butternut; five grandsons; two great granddaughters, two great grandsons; three sisters, Ellen of Rockford, IL, Joan (John) of Oconomowoc and Bea (Bob) of New Castle, CA.

He is also preceded in death by, his parents; three brothers, Milan, Gene and Dick; his sister, Betty and a son-in-law, John Nesseth.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Jack will take place on Thursday November 15, 2018 at 6:00PM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. (7307 – 40th Avenue or corner of 39th Avenue and 73rd Street) A visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 4:00 PM until the time of Mass. Entombment will take place at All Saints Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Mary’s Catholic Church would be appreciated.
