Gary Kolloff

          Gary Kolloff, age 78, a resident of Pleasant Prairie WI died Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Grande Prairie Health and Rehabilitation Center.

          Gary was born on May 28, 1935 to the late Roy and Mary (Walls) Kolloff in Niagara Falls, NY. Gary served his country in the Air Force. On July 11, 1959, he married Jacqueline McGee. He was employed at Moore Business Forms in Glenview, IL until his retirement in 1991.  While retired in Phelps WI, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping trips and home improvement projects. He loved to float around North Twin Lake in Phelps on the pontoon boat. He also enjoyed taking the family out for dinner at various supper clubs.

          Gary is survived by two sons, Greg (Alison) of Antioch IL and Dan (Renee) of Edgerton WI. Four grandchildren, Emma and Ethan of Antioch IL, and Kevin and Kyle of Edgerton WI also survive him.

          Gary was preceded in death by his parents, wife and sister Sue Lauer.

          A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 3:00PM at Holy Nativity Lutheran Church in Kenosha, WI (2313-17th Avenue). Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday at the church from 2:00PM until the time of services.

          A special thank you to the staff and nurses at Grand Prairie Health and Rehabilitation Center in Pleasant Prairie for all their help and kindness during his stay.

    To the family: I feel sorry for your loss but it would of been better if you could of kept the obituary notice out of the Vilas County News-Review paper. We are a small town up here and really love the people who live up here, not the ones who just come to visit twice a year.I believe the death notices should be kept for the ones who actually gave years to this area. Just keep this in mind for future reference. Thanks
