Elizabeth Warnock (1918 – 2011)

Elizabeth Warnock age 92 a resident of Kenosha died Wednesday January 26th 2010 at Clare Bridge House in Kenosha.

Elizabeth “Lizzy” grew up in the Lincoln neighborhood of Kenosha, the daughter of Italian immigrants Anthony and Angeline Molinaro. She attended local schools and became a player on one of the first all female semi-professional softball teams. Elizabeth married Carl Warnock in 1942 and raised a family of five, worked at Frost Company for 21 years, was an avid bowler, big band dance enthusiast, Moose Club member and faithful Cubs fan. Lizzy will be remembered fondly for her stubborn Italian personality, her affectionate nicknames for family members such as; “pinhead” and “knucklehead” and her singular specialty dish of homemade spaghetti sauce with spare ribs. Her children, grandchildren and extended family remember many spaghetti meals crowded around her kitchen table and now realize that no one can make that sauce like she did!

The family extends our gratitude for the love and care provided to Lizzy from the caregivers during her residency at first Wynwood Assisted Living Facility, then Clare Bridge Facility in Kenosha. We would also like to thank her physician Dr. Zaworski and the Home & Hospice Advantage caregivers.

Elizabeth is survived by three sons Donald (Nancy) Warnock, Wayne (Sandi) Warnock and Jeff (Shirley) Warnock and one daughter Cheryl (Todd Lindmeier) Warnock. She is also survived by eight grandchildren Katherine Moreno, Dawn Cutler, Jenna Gospodarek, Stephanie Strickland, Mark Martin, Michele DeVries, Angela Milock and Jake Warner. Seventeen great grandchildren Tony and Nikki Moreno, Smantha and Cody Kamholz, Carlee Grant, Noah, Michael and Anna Gospodarek, Clay and Ethan Strickland, Alyssa Martin, Bailey, Pamie, Tammie and Kaylie DeVries and Kaylie and Landen Warner.
