Donna M. Gray (1937-2019)

Donna M. Gray, age 82, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 30, 2019 with her family by her side. She was born March 11, 1937 in Ionia, Michigan to Helen and Thomas Hitchcock. She found love and a long-lasting marriage to Tom Neff, who preceded her in death in 2000.

Donna retired from a successful career at the University of Michigan, as Office Manager of Career Planning and Placement. Looking forward to traveling and warmer weather, she and Tom relocated to East Tennessee. Her favorite trip of all-time was to the Holy Land and to swim in the Sea of Galilee was a highlight of her life! Among her other retirement hobbies were hiking with the Retired Citizens of the Smokies and volunteering at First Baptist Church in Sevierville, Tennessee. Donna loved to hike in the Smokies and enjoyed being involved on the board of her hiking club. Though Tennessee was her address, it was her family in Wisconsin that gave her reason to travel north every few months, until she moved there in 2015.

She is survived by her sister, Joyce; two daughters-Jami (Ric) English and Shari Gray; five grandchildren-Desere, Vanessa, Christian, Elliott and Grant; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Donna loved life, laughing and most of all her Heavenly Father-her greatest legacy for her family! Her contagious smile will be missed by all who encountered her.

Please join us to celebrate her life on Tuesday, December 10, 5pm at First Christian Church, 13022 Wilmot Rd., Kenosha.

Free at last, free at last, thank God Almighty, I’m free at last!
