Daniel Farrell (1951 – 2006)

Daniel M. Farrell, age 55 a resident of Kenosha, died Saturday November 4, 2006 at St. Catherine?s Hospital.

Born on July 5, 1951 in Kenosha, he was the son of the late Grover Farrell and Edna (Kressin) Farrell, of Kenosha.

He was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Tremper High School in 1970.

For 31 years he was employed by Daimler-Chrysler and retired in 2001. He was a member of UAW Local #72 Retirees.

He was baptized at St. Thomas Catholic Church and was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He was a confirmation sponsor for his nephew John Nikolai.

He loved sports and was an avid Cubs and Bears Fan. He was a frequent traveler and visited almost every baseball stadium in the U.S. as well as Canada. He toured 16 countries and visited 49 states.

Danny was a simple man and had simple pleasures. He loved the sunshine, long rides, old TV shows, reading the newspaper and spending time with his 2 pet cats; Snowball and Six-Toes. He was a good and decent man and will be truly missed.

He is survived by his mother, Edna Farrell of Kenosha; five brothers; John Farrell of Kenosha, Frank (Patricia) Farrell of Kenosha; James (Judith) Farrell of Janesville WI; Steven Farrell of Greenville SC; Robert (Dori) Farrell of Kenosha; three sisters Joan (Norm) Nikolai of Oklahoma City, OK; Pat F. McNamara of Kenosha; Barbara Holzman of Kenosha; brother in law Frank Perri of Kenosha, god-daughter Amy Chostner and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; and one sister Colleen Perri.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday November 8, 2006 at 10:00AM at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Kenosha. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the church from 9:00AM until the time of mass. Burial will take place at Greenridge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
