Dale Epping

Dale J. Epping, age 80, of Kenosha passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 23, 2019.
Dale was born in Kenosha County on July 30, 1938 to Sylvester and Leona (Richter) Epping. He graduated
from Salem Central High School in 1956. He married Gladys Houtsinger on November 26, 1966 at St.
George Catholic Church. Dale was employed with Chrysler for over 30 years until his retirement in
August of 1988 and he was a member of the U.A.W. Local 72. In his youth he was an excellent baseball
player. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed bowling, coaching, hunting, watching sports of all kinds and was a
devoted Green Bay Packers fan. He loved playing cards, especially cribbage, which he was really good at.
Dale adored his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and he will always be remembered for
being a quiet and gentle man.

He was preceded in death by, his parents; two children, Daniel and John and four siblings.

Dale is survived by, his wife, Gladys; four children, Michael Lorberter, Kathleen (Randy) Betchel,
William (Shawna) Epping and Sheri Epping (Mark); 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; 6 siblings
and their spouses, as well as nieces, nephews and many friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Dale will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at St.
Elizabeth Catholic Church (4816 – 7 th Avenue) with entombment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. A
visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of Mass.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Aurora Medical Center for the kindness
and care they gave to Dale.
