Clarence Anders (1917 – 2005)

Clarence Herman Anders, age 87 a resident of Racine passed away Friday June 10, 2005 at Lincoln Village Convalescent Center.

Born on December 4, 1917 in Racine he was the son of the late Herman and Meta (Buth) Anders.

A lifelong Racine resident, he was educated in the schools of Racine.

On October 28, 1939 he married Elizabeth Zynda in Racine. She preceded him in death on December 6, 2002.

He was employed as an inspector at Walker Forge Inc., retiring in 1983.

He was lifetime member of Atonement Lutheran Church. He was a member of the AFL-CIO, belonged to the Walker Social Club, the Tops Club and the Walkers Club of Regency Mall.

He is survived by two sons; Wayne Anders of Burlington, Gary (Linda) Anders of Racine, two daughters Sharon Sipher and Debbie (Terry) Doyle both of Racine; grandchildren Gary Jr. (Jessica), Vicy Arnold, Rob (Kim) Sipher, Michael Sipher, Lisa (Steve) Vieau, Tami (Erik) Olson, Shari Doyle and Kari Doyle, and 13 great grandchildren. He is further survived by a sister Evelyn Hansen of Racine.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son Dean Anders, one brother Edwin Anders and a sister Mildred Esch.

A Memorial Service for Mr. Anders will be held on Saturday June 18, 2005 at 11:00AM at Atonement Lutheran Church in Racine. (2915-Wright Avenue) Visitation with the family will be on Saturday at the church from 10:00AM until the time of service.

The family would like to thank Dr. DeCheck for his compassionate service over the years. Special mention also goes to neighbors Ralph and Marsha for their special help and extended care over these last years.

In lieu of flowers memorials to either the American heart Association or the Cancer Society would be appreciated.
