BettyJane Curcio (1924 – 2006)

Betty Jane Curcio, age 81 a resident of Racine, died Friday April 21, 2006 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Racine.

Born on July 19, 1924 in Racine, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Anita (Meusel) Kitt.

She was educated in the schools of Racine.

On April 1, 1944 at Atonement Lutheran Church in Racine, she married Milton Curcio.

She was employed for 18 years as part time help at Hardees’ Restaurant in Racine.

Together with her husband she was very active in car racing. She enjoyed playing cards with family, and loved to read. She also loved Lawrence Welk music and was a die hard Cub?s Fan. Although she never drove a car, she was an accomplished snow mobile driver. She was past secretary of the Racine Snowmobile Club. She enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas with the girls, and also her trips to the Casino. Palm trees were special to her, as she would often comment on their beauty.

She is survived by her husband Milton of Racine; one son, Milton “Bill” (Marilyn) Curcio of Racine, two daughters, Connie M. (Richard E.) Krueger of Racine, Carren (Scott) Porter of Racine, grandchildren Michael (Julie) Krueger, Carol (Dave) Micale III, Corrie Loomis, Richard Curio, John Curio, Jeff (Michelle) Curcio; one sister, Virginia Sabatino of Zion IL, and two nieces, Sandra Pabst of Zion IL and Kitt (Chuck) Stockmar of Grand Rapids MI.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday April 26, 2006 at 11:00AM at Westlawn Memorial Park Chapel at 9000 Washington Avenue in Racine. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated to the charity of ones choice.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the ICU of St. Mary?s Medical
Center and especially Kerrie and Beth for their compassionate care.
