Anthony R. Ramirez

Anthony R Ramirez, born in Chicago, IL on May 2, 1979.  He was a life-long resident of Kenosha.  Anthony graduated from Mary D Bradford in 1997.  He traveled to many places as a young man, loved the Chicago Bear’s, collected Star Wars memorabilia, and owned his own sports card shop at the age of 16.  Anthony loved music and going to concerts.  He was a gentle giant and a great friend.  If there was a poker game going on, you’d find him there!  On May 5, 2020 God took him home and he is now in peace.

He is survived by his mother Bonnylu Ramirez, father Ricardo Ramirez, sister Andrea Safedis, brother-in-law Ares Safedis, two nieces Aria and Ava, his nephew Aj.  Many Aunts, Uncles and cousins both in the US and Costa Rica; and countless friends….

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the family for a future celebration of life.

I’m so sorry Andrea and the Ramirez family . Anthony was one of my only REAL friends in life. He was always good to me and I miss him dearly. I used to live in Amsterdam Netherlands and I’ve been there over 18 times but my first time was with Anthony right after high school. I always prayed for him and will always remember him. I just wish I was still in Kenosha and that I could’ve helped him overcome. I hurt bad knowing I will never have that chance to help or say goodbye but I will always have a thing in my heart . He always has my back and I always had his. Bears fan always stuck together and always have heart. I miss you Anthony , always your friend forever Massimo Lucchetta !!!

When I heard the news I couldn’t believe God took other good person. I do know his mom, sister, brother in law loved him. I would always see him with his nieces and nephew playing or they would sitting on his lap i knew how much he loved them and they loved him you can see it. My heart goes to his family and I know he is a great place with God right now.

Anthony will be greatly missed. I may not have grown up with him but he was an amazing person and friend. We had these inside jokes and he always made me see things from a new perspectives. Anthony always had a smile on his face and knew how to make me laugh. Nearing the end of his life he reached out to me and made sure my medical child Chase had enough medical supplies to keep him healthy. That meant the world to me. He is one of those beautiful people. I truly love him.

    Love and prayers: Kellie Colby

Deepest condolences to you and your family. Anthony will be missed. He really was a great guy with a gentle soul.

I met him the first day of kindergarten when we got into an argument standing in line when he told me he was a 6th grader and I wasn’t buying it. Since that day we were friends. Definitely will miss our times together and conversations. RIP Anthony

Andrea I’m so sorry! Anthony was such an awesome guy and a really good friend. I think about how much time we spent together and how much fun we always had. The last time I saw him is when he came out and stayed with me in Vegas for a week. We had a great time staying out all night every night. Unfortunately we lost touch after that but I always hoped we would reconnect some day. Anthony will be truly missed by everyone who knew him. Rest In Peace my friend. Nick Parker
