Minnie “Sandy” Bloxdorf, age 100 a resident of Kenosha died Friday November 20th 2015 at Manor Care in Kenosha.

Minnie was born on August 28, 1915 in Strandquist MN to the late Paul and Gro Sanderson. She was educated in the Strandquist grade school and graduated from Strandquest High School in 1934.  She moved to the Kenosha area in 1948. On June 12, 1948 Minnie married Richard Bloxdorf at Bethany Lutheran Church.

She was a long time member of Bethany Lutheran. She was employed as an LPN in Illinois and as a nurse’s aid at Sheridan Nursing Home in Kenosha.

She was a member of the ladies club at her church for many years. She loved to bowl in area bowling leagues and was a in a square dancing club. In her younger years she also enjoyed golfing.

Minnie is survived by her son Richard Bloxdorf of Kenosha and daughter Susan (Jeffrey) Ross of Sun Prairie WI. She is also survived by six grandchildren Katlyn (Adam Garcia) Ross, Christopher Bloxdorf, Danielle Ross, Bradley Bloxdorf, Benjamin Ross and Abby Bloxdorf.

Minnie was preceded in death by her husband (September 15, 1997), son Jeffrey (2014), 8 brothers and 5 sisters.  She was a loving mother and grandmother that was dearly loved and cherished by her family and friends.  She also had chocolate chip cookies on hand for anyone that came by to visit.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 25th 2015 at 2:00PM at Bethany Lutheran Church in Kenosha. (2100-75th Street or corner of 75th Street and 22nd Avenue) Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday at the church from 1:00PM until the time of services. Burial will follow in Greenridge Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials to Bethany Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
