Mary Lynne Becker (1941 – 2012)

Mary “Lynne” Becker, age 70 a resident of Kenosha, died Tuesday September 25, 2012 at her residence.

Mary was born on October 12, 1941 in Detroit MI to the late James and Mary (Schaffer) Cleary. She moved to the Kenosha area in 1949 and was educated in the schools of Kenosha attending St. James, Lincoln and Bradford. On April 15, 1964 she married James Becker in Kenosha WI. Mary was employed as a Medical Biller for Milwaukee Cardiologist Dr. Lingham Kumar for 16 years. She also, along with her departed husband James, owned and operated Bert and Rudy’s Mobil Service Station for 37 years. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. Mary enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, traveling cross country with her husband in their motor home and for many years was an avid bowler. She loved to knit and gave away countless pairs of slippers to family and friends.

Mary is survived by two sons Allan J Becker of Kenosha and Steven (Marsha) of Loveland, CO. and three daughters Dawn Becker (Alan) of Kenosha, Deanna (Dan) Lourigan of Kenosha and Kristina (Rob) Haveman of Milwaukee. She is also survived by five grandchildren Ethan Lourigan, Cody and Cassidy Becker and Korina and Peter Haveman. Mary is further survived by one brother Robert (Fran) Cleary of Tucson, AZ and one sister Susan (John) Kayon of Indianapolis, IN and close family friend Greg Lemke. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and husband in 2010.

The Becker Family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Ben and Shelia Sturdevant, Dr. Joseph Garretto and Dr. Peter Mariani for all their compassion and support.

A Mass of Christian will be celebrated on Monday October 1st 2012 at 6:00PM at St. Therese Catholic Church in Kenosha. (9005-22nd Avenue) Visitation with the family will be on Monday at the church from 4:00PM until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family would be greatly appreciated. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
