Gonzalo Caceres (1946 – 2012)

Gonzalo Caceres 66 of Kenosha died June 29th at Froedtert Medical Hospital. He was born in Paute, Ecuador on April 2nd, 1946 to Jose Caceres and Raquel Arias of Ecuador.

Gonzalo enjoyed nature and being out doors. He loved all living creatures including bugs. He also loved reading and walking. He loved to learn and was very intelligent. He was a very hard worker and instilled a work ethic in his children.

In June of 1967, he married Lucy Arias in Paute. In 1968, Gonzalo moved from Ecuador to Chicago, IL on a Visa as a baker. After he got himself established, he brought his wife and two daughters to Chicago to live with him. 5 years later, their third daughter, Peggy was born. He also worked for the Chicago Transit Authority as a motorman on the “L” trains.

In 1983, He took the family back to Ecuador where he lived until 1988. He then came back to Chicago and worked for Weight Watchers until 1992 then he returned to Ecuador. He and Lucy were divorced in the late nineties. He later married Delia Gomez.

He came back to the US to live in Kenosha in 2007 where he worked for Unified Solutions and then for the Salvation Army. He retired at age 62.

He was preceded in death by his father Jose, his brother Rodrigo, and his sister, Sesylia.

He is survived by: his mother Raquel, his wife Delia, His Ex-wife Lucy, his son Gonzalo Jr. (Adriana Leite), Angelica aka Angie (Marty Hutchings), Doris (Henry Mendez), Peggy (Gilbert Flores), Maria, Tatiana, Doris.His sister Isabella (Tarquino Cobos), Enrique (Mariana), Felipe, Maria Elena, Lucia, Martha, Xavier (Alicia).

Grand children: Jenna Hutchings, Matthew, Michelle, Brian, Nichole, Alexander Peralta, Ariana Mendez, Priscilla and Steven Avila and Many nieces and Nephews.
