Gertrude Itzenhuiser (2005 – 2011)

Gertrude Itzenhuiser, age 92, formerly of Kenosha, passed away Sunday August 28, 2011 at Ridgewood Care Center.

Born on February 26, 1919 in Somers WI, she was the daughter of the late Karl H. and Paulina (Meier) Reck.

Gertrude was educated in the schools of Kenosha County. She was an avid reader and was a Jehovah Witness who loved to share her Bible knowledge with others. She had a passion for sewing and crafting. She loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her brothers and sisters.

Gertrude is survived by three sons John (Irene) Bryske of Lake Havasu AZ, Daniel (Sue) Bryske of Ocala FL and Bruce Itzenhuiser of Evanston IL and two daughters Janet Bryske (John) Kannenberg of Wonewoc WI and Cyndi Itzenhuiser Kraft of Mt. Prospect IL. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 23 geat grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She is further survived by one sister Ruth.

Gertrude was preceded in death by one son Ronald Bryske, five brothers Carl, Paul, Herman, Benjamin and George and six sisters Elsie, Louisa, Clara, Alma and Pauline.

Services for Gertrude will be held on Thursday September 1, 2011 at 11:00 am at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses (7333 Green Bay Road, Kenosha). Visitation with Gertrude?s family will begin at 10:00 am until the time of services. Burial will take place at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
